My name is Gabriela Gutarra. I am a dancer and choreographer, born in Peru and raised in Europe. For over forty years, I have worked as a freelance dance artist, with spanish dance as my heart’s rhythm – a form of expression that has become my language, my breath, and my path through life.
My artistic journey ignited with rigorous studies in both Spain and Sweden, a foundation that blossomed into over 40 touring productions.
These creations are a testament to my innovative spirit, often fusing the passionate essence of Spanish dance
with diverse styles and art forms. I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with international artists from a myriad of cultures and genres, gracing some of the Nordic region’s most renowned stages.
Through bold projects, rich cultural encounters, and technical experimentation, I’ve meticulously sculpted my own unique artistic voice, a captivating blend of dance theater, evocative music, intricate rhythm, and cutting-
edge new technology. I’m a Stockholm-based artist with three decades of experience in the vibrant worlds of dance, performance, and education.
