Practicalities

What shoes do I need? For your first few classes, comfortable, sturdy shoes with a low, firm heel (like character shoes or low boots) are generally acceptable. Once you decide to continue, we highly recommend investing in proper flamenco shoes for optimal technique and sound. We can provide recommendations.

Are ‘faldas’ (skirts) required? For your first class, a comfortable, wide skirt or even leggings are fine. For women, a full, flowing flamenco skirt (falda) is highly recommended for classes as it helps with understanding movement and aesthetics.

How can I recover a lost lesson? . We offer options to recover lost lessons, such as attending a different class level or a designated make-up session within the same term. Please check our “Terms and Conditions” for specifics.

What is your policy on coming late to class? We encourage punctuality to ensure you don’t miss the warm-up and initial instructions. If you arrive late, please enter quietly and join the class without disrupting others.

Beyond the Studio

Do you offer classes in Spain? At this time, all our regular classes are held in [Your City/Country, e.g., Stockholm, Sweden]. However, we occasionally organize workshops or special events in Spain. Please check our “Workshops & Events” page for updates.

Can I hire you for a performance or event? Yes, our instructors and advanced students are available for performances and events. Please contact us with details about your event for a quote.

Do you have student performances? Yes! We believe in providing opportunities for our students to showcase their progress. We typically hold student performances at the end of each term or year.

Shopping & Practice

I want to dance more. How can I do that? Beyond classes, consistent practice is key! We encourage students to practice at home, listen to flamenco music, and attend live performances. We also offer private lessons for accelerated learning.

Who can I rehearse with without disturbing the neighborhood (flamenco dance)? Practicing flamenco footwork at home can be noisy. Consider using a dedicated dance mat or a small wooden board to dampen the sound. For group rehearsals, we can recommend local studio rental options.

Do you have Castanet lessons? Yes, we offer dedicated castanet lessons as part of our curriculum or as separate workshops. Check our schedule for availability.

How can I buy shoes, castanets, performing dresses, and rehearsal dresses? We can provide recommendations for reputable online and local suppliers for flamenco shoes, castanets, and dancewear. We may also have a small selection of items available for purchase or rental at the school.

Do you have Flamenco t-shirts with your logo? Yes, we occasionally offer branded flamenco t-shirts and other merchandise. Please inquire at the studio or check our online shop [if applicable].
